Marathon training is tough and lonely at the best of times, so using good equipment to help reach goals is essential. Unilite create products that have reached out and helped all manner of individuals in work and leisure activities. With a reputation for quality and robustness it is natural that individuals with high expectations are drawn to Unilite. Unilite believe in creating a superior lighting product that works seamlessly.
Two sports individuals who agree with Unilite are Martin Yelling and Tom Williams. Martin Yelling is an Adidas sponsored performance coach and advisor who is the current coaching advisor to Men’s Running magazine. He has also written many articles in such media outlets as: The Guardian, Evening Standard, Metro, Running Fitness, Triathlon Plus, Outdoor Fitness, Trail Magazine and London Marathon News to name a few. He is also the husband of the Double Olympian and Commonwealth medallist Lizzy Yelling and therefore lives and breathes running.
Tom Williams is the managing director of Parkrun. Before the age of 25 Tom hadn’t ran any form of timed event, but on August the 4th 2007 he took part in Bushy parkrun (or Bushy Park Time Trial as it was then) and two months later Leeds parkrun (or Hyde Park Time Trial) was born. Tom has been a volunteer of parkrun since 2007 and a member of staff since 2011 and is responsible for guiding the overall strategy for parkrun UK whilst developing relationships with commercial partners and key stakeholders.
Martin and Tom both run ‘Marathon Talk’, which is the UK’s most popular weekly running podcast. It is from here that they talk about all things running, including any new running accessories. Martin and Tom received samples of several Unilite products such as the PS-H8 & HV-FL9R which they were very impressed with. As a result of the positive feedback from these samples, Unilite were asked to talk about these in further detail and featured on an episode of Marathon talk. This was to discuss the companies history and also its products. As a result of Unilite is now continuing support for athletes and sports people, and now sponsor a section of ‘Marathon talk’ called ‘Training talk’ . Unilite hope to and continue to be a positive influence in the world of sports, training and endurance supporting Marathon talk.
