To operate with optimum efficiency, some workers will need to keep their hands free, whilst being able to see what they are doing. Take away one of those elements and it could hinder the job at hand, sometimes critically! Maybe it’s time to take the burden of lighting the job out of your hands and put it on your head.
This is where the HL-4R comes into play. A powerful headlight with a 275 Lumen output from its CREE LED. The light emitted is strong, yet well spread, helping the user to see anything and everything whilst performing vital work. For those tasks that require a more intricate approach, the unit can be dimmed twice, enabling a precise beam to be produced, whilst also conserving battery life. This is in addition to the 2 x 5mm red LEDs, which can be put into action when you want to preserve night-vision, or even for tasks of sensitive animal husbandry.
Rechargeable batteries can help to reduce running costs, which is why the HL-4R is a such a popular choice for all users. The Lithium-Polymer battery provides over 6 hours of runtime on its highest setting, which is enough for most lighting tasks. Even then, the light can be dimmed to extend this runtime to a maximum of 77 hours.
USB ports are universally accessible for almost everyone, at both their home and workplace. It’s that reason why the HL-4R has been designed to be charged via a Micro-USB cable. This means it can be plugged into smartphone chargers, laptops, or one of the many other places that these ports exist. Clarity as to when something has fully charged is important, that’s why the HL-4R also has a Red-Green charging indicator, letting you know when the recharge process is complete.
To enable handsfree use there are two fixing options. The first is a fully adjustable non-slip silicone headband which hugs to the surface of the head or hardhat its put on. This helps to keep it in one position whilst in use, preventing even physical activity from moving the headlight out of place. The second option is through the 3M adhesive helmet mount. This simple solution enables you to place the HL-4R onto a hard helmet without the need of a headband, whilst also allowing you to remove it from the helmet when it comes to recharging.
Environments that torches are used in are often exposed to the elements, that’s why it is necessary to find one that has a suitable level of protection. The HL-4R has been designed in a strong ABS housing, with an IPX5 water resistance. This will shield it from the heaviest of rain, keeping it operational when you need it most.
