The Shorterm rail group using Unilite head torches on Crossrail build
Shorterm rail have been recruiting and placing people in specialist industrial areas – at every level – since the early 1970s. They have grown alongside some of the biggest employers operating today, and helped to get many of the smaller ones up and running. They have great experience, reputation and contacts when supplying labour to industrial sectors. We were pleased to see that on the recent Crossrail build that engineers supplied by Shorterm were using Unilite products. Both the Unilite Prosafe PS-H2 alongside the PS-H3. Both items are now industry standard kit within the rail sector. Comprising of high powered CREE LED’s, 3m reflective strips, AA batteries and hi visibility yellow in colour, both products are specifically tailored for PPE markets.
The Crossrail tunnelling is penned to be complete in 2017, with a full opening in 2018. It is one of Europe’s largest railway and infrastructure construction projects to date, and comprises of 26 miles of tunnelling with an overall cost of £15.9m. Such design and engineering means only the finest most robust products are chosen to ensure a smooth build. That is why Unilite is proud to have the support of Crossrail engineers wearing our trusted Head Torches. The Unilite PS-H3 is also set for an upgrade in 2015 from 120 Lumens to 220 adding over an extra 80% in brightness. The increase in brightness does not come at the expense of features, with the item still packed out with green & red signal lights, SOS & emergency flash functions. All functions proven and chosen to work for rail engineers who demand only the highest quality to perform tasks.
