The heritage of Unilite… Unilite has been a lighting manufacturer since 1981 and since its founding it has grown from strength to strength, vastly expanding its product range and increasing its size and influence within the global flashlight market. It now has over 3000 worldwide clients and has recently moved into a brand-new office, helping to assist with logistics and operational support. Of course, like all business’s Unilite came from a humble background. It started out in a residential address, however when people could see the products quality and passion of the founder Bryan, the company grew rapidly and they moved to a new Warehouse/Office. It was from this location that the company produced one of their most iconic products. The UK44 Work lights. This product was evolutionary as it enabled people to work hands-free, something that wasn’t common place. One pair of DJs decided that they’d put the light to good work. Their name was Orbital. You can watch their Glastonbury performance here using the UK44: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asCrHkEHfWI
The UK44 took the company into even more international recognition when it was worn by a model on the front cover of vogue (pictured). Not only did the light have a practical value, but it was also a statement of fashion. This of course wasn’t the only product within the Unilite range. By this point there was a plethora of lanterns, flashlights and other specialised lighting products, all initially designed for an industrial market. It was through this industrial strength that the company forged a fierce reputation within the lighting industry. This leads us to the company that we can see today. A trusted flashlight manufacturer that is used by the trade, industry, emergency services and more recently in the leisure industry.
With the new headquarters and an ever-expanding workforce and product range, the company is cementing its place as a leader in the global flashlight market and will continue to grow from strength to strength.
